1. Nature of the Service
Reno Residents Directory is a private reference that describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections connected to Reno, Nevada. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with an office, court, or record custodian.
2. Acceptable Use
Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or material reached through it, to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make FCRA-regulated decisions (credit, employment, tenant, insurance)
- Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
- Interfere with the site's operation or security
3. Consumer Reporting Notice
This service is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. ยง 1681 et seq. Nothing here or returned by a linked search tool is a consumer report, and none may be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.
4. Links to Outside Sites
Government portals and outside services, including sponsored search tools, have their own terms and policies. Their content, availability, price, and data practices are outside our control.
5. No Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties. We do not promise that information is accurate, complete, or current, or that a linked portal will operate or return correct results.
6. Limits on Our Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from this service or a linked resource, including decisions based on records reached through it.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the service operators harmless from claims or demands, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from misuse of the service or a breach of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting brief attributed excerpts is allowed; republishing whole pages or systematically copying content is not.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continued use after the change means acceptance.
10. Cutting Off Access
We may restrict or block a user who violates these terms or abuses the service, without notice and at our discretion.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nevada's public-records framework is NRS Chapter 239, including NRS 239.010 and NRS 239.0107; that statute does not override record-specific confidentiality law.
12. Severability
If one part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
